The highest ski resort in Europe, Val Thorens sits at 2300 metres. The purpose-built resort enjoys a traffic-free centre and ski-to-door. Val Thorens makes up part of the Three Valleys ski domain.
The area is best suited to beginners and intermediates for its range of blue and red runs, but expert skiers will enjoy the heli skiing, the challenging moguls of the Cime de Caron and La Masse, and off piste on the Chaviere and Peclet glaciers. Snow boarders are also well catered for with a snow park and half pipe.The resort is connected to the neighbouring towns of Courchevel and Meribel.
Non-skiers can enjoy the sports centre, gym, swimming pool, sauna, paragliding and walking trails. Evening skidoo rides are popular so too are nights out at the cinema, with its range of English films.
