The modern, medium-sized resort of Soldeu El Tarter is renowned for its large ski area and duty-free status. The resort also offers a good choice of hotels and apartments. Perfect for beginners and intermediates, the resort has a good selection of blue and red runs and the ski school has an excellent reputation, with many English-speaking instructors.

The lift system has recently been upgraded, and now provides a link to Grau Roig with its large ski area. The resort offers reliable snow as most of the runs sit above 2000 metres and are also complimented by many snow cannons.

Soldeu el Tarter offers duty free shopping and drinks, so shops and bars are positively buzzing after a day on the slopes. Non-skiers can enjoy the range of duty-free shops, ice-skating, snowshoeing and walking trails. Those wanting to travel further a field can take a 30-minute bus or car journey to Andorra la Vella, the capital of the principality.

The resort offers a lively apres ski scene with cheap duty-free prices in bars attracting a young atmosphere. Soldeu also offers a few good restaurants serving both local and international cuisine.

This new apartment building has 28 studios and apartments from 1 to 4 rooms, accommodating 2 to 10 people. A fully equipped disability-friendly apartment is also available. On the ground floor are a supermarket and a ski hire service. Additional facilities include a reception office, a currency exchange desk and lift access. Garage parking is available in the same building, and there is also an outdoor car park (fees apply for both). Pick-up of keys is from 5 to 8 pm. For later arrivals, please call the number posted on the door to the reception office. Check-out is from 8 to 10 am. All apartments and studios have an American kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a fully equipped bathroom with a shower. They also have colour TV, centrally regulated heating and hot water. Bed linen, towels and toiletries are included. Cleaning on the day of departure is not included.

This 4- storey hotel comprises a total of 27 rooms and facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe and a lift a bar and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant. There is also a conference room available for use and those arriving by car may make use of the hotel car park and garage facilities. The rooms each come with an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV and central heating as standard.
