The Sol Pelicanos Ocas Hotel Benidorm features two restaurants serving an extensive buffet and in high season there is a themed area called the Flintstones Lounge where fun family activities and themed food can be enjoyed.
Property Summary
These two attractive sister hotels, each with a full range of facilities, share the same garden and are only five minutes walk from sandy Levante Beach and close to the night-life. Guests are accommodated in either hotel at the management’s discretion and may use all facilities at both hotels excluding restaurants.
Sol Pelicanos Ocas famously features prominently in the TV show "Benidorm".
Location
The hotel complex Sol Pelícanos Ocas is located only 300m from Levante beach, in the shopping and leisure district of Benidorm, approx 2km from the city centre, 5km from Terra Mítica Theme Park, 40km from Alicante and 50km from the airport.
Features
Dining facilities include 2 non-smoking restaurants serving an extensive buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 2 pool bars serving snacks (high season) and a lounge bar serving snacks.
NB. Guests must eat at the hotel in which they are accommodated.
For guests who choose the FULL BOARD option (which is available in the summer from May - October only) this is FULL BOARD PLUS, which includes drinks during the restaurant opening hours as follows - Breakfast - 08.00-10.00hrs Lunch - 13.00-15.00hrs (soft drinks,wine & beer) Dinner - 18.30-21.30hrs (soft drinks,wine & beer), Snacks are not included.
From June to September inclusive the Hotel now has a themed area called the Flintstones Lounge where fun family activities and themed food, including "Brontoburgers" with characters including Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty can be enjoyed.
Other facilities include a TV in the lounge bar, gift shop (Sol Pelicanos) and internet access.
All rooms are fully equipped with air-conditioning/heating, satellite TV, telephone, safety deposit box, mini fridge and balcony (some facilities may be payable locally).
The Hotels also provide an extensive daytime and evening entertainment and sports programme including competitions, sports, workshops, cultural activities, orchestra, and professional shows.
Activities
Leisure facilities at the Hotels include a lagoon-style swimming pool with 3 jacuzzis and swim-up bar (Sol Pelicanos), with sunbeds and parasols, table tennis, video games, archery and keep-fit.
For Children there are 2 pools, playground, playroom and the Hotel kids’ club (for ages 5-12yrs, requires at least 10 children to operate).

enjoyed satay here but found it better last year as there was less people about the hotel and food was not as good as last year proibably due to them filming the series benidorm other than that we find it a great location.

Room allocated was not as per booking (no pool view) After three changes over a couple of hours, accommodated according to booking.

first class accommodation nothing was problem to the staff

Quite poor, basic, no kettle or safe avaible free of charge. I travel a lot and this is the first time in years there has been no safe in the room. In all hotels there has always been a kettle and tea/coffee etc.
I would not return to this hotel and would not recommend to friends.

food was very good at the sol pelicanos. roooms and pool area were spotless.

Hotel was spot on went half board and was impresses with food would have been better if could of had a beer with dinner and wine expensive but all I all no complaints

No problems with hotel, but did not like the resort, too much crime. Heard of many cases of pick pockets and criminal gangs extorting money from holiday makers by street gambling games. Police have done nothing to curb it.
