One of the largest and most popular 3* hotels in Las Americas, the Aparthotel Columbus has it all. With it's location in the very centre of the resort, its only a short stroll to all the bars, restaurants and nightlife, and approx 600m to the beach.
The hotel offers all services from self catering or half board to a fully all inclusive package.
A very well known hotel for British holiday-makers and suitable for all ages.
The Hotel has been refurbished and offer new rooms double or twin and double or twin with lounge that do not have their own cooking facilities. Self catering and bed and breakfast is still available in the studio and apartment room type(non refurbished).
The Columbus has an official rating of 3 star but due to the refurbishment of rooms and facilities we have given the property a 4 sun rating.
Location
Located in the centre of Playa de las Americas. Walk outside this hotel and you'll find yourself in the resort centre.
Just 20 minutes drive from the airport.
Features
The Columbus benefits from 2 pools, a poolside snack bar, rooftop sun terrace and a spacious restaurant with brand new show-cooking facility. All meals are buffet service. There is also a Chinese restaurant and pizzeria on-site.
Activities
Nightly entertainment including dancing‚ shows and professional acts. Daytime activities include volleyball‚ rifle shooting (16 yrs and over)‚ darts and table tennis, games room, gym‚ sauna and whirlpool bath.
Some of the above facilities carry a local charge.

3 meals per day - Breakfast, Lunch and dinner (Buffet service & show cooking)

Drinks are served in the main from 10.00 - 18.30 & 20.00 - 23.00
Drinks include Vodka, Rum, Whisky, Gin and Brandy (all local spirts). Red & White wines, and choices or juices or fizzy drinks

Snacks will be served in the main bar between meal times (which included cakes, Tea & coffee)

All All-Inclusive guests will be given to wear a special bracelet. This bracelet they must keep on until departure.

Rooms not very clean - had to swap, very noisy apartments, lots of large groups of stag/hen parties, very drunk behaviour all day & all night as its an all inclusive hotel, not enough pool sunbeds, even though it had a large number of older guests - the actual hotel has a much younger 'club 18-30' vibe,
On the plus side - great location, communal areas newly re-furbed, away from the main strip & close to the beach. Pool area has sun pretty much all day.

After reading some terrible reviews i was a bit worried but our room was fine, a bit dated but it had everything we needed and was comfortable enough with maid service everyday although it has to be said that the public areas are really in desperate need of some updating, in my opinion it is not the hotel that deserves the bad reviews but some of the guests who have no consideration for others staying there.

I have no complaints at all about the hotel even though I was a bit unsure once I read the Tripadvisor ratings. The hotel was spotless with maid service every day. The food was excellent, great choice for everyone. And the bar staff and restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again without a doubt as it was very central. Also has lots of loungers at the pool areas!! It seemed really great for kids, even though i dont have any, as they play pool games during the day, have games rooms and there is a disco thing on at night.
