Fuerteventura was the first of the Canary Islands to be formed and was born from volcanic activity dating back to over 60 million years ago. It's famed for its white sandy beaches, which have travelled, over years, from Africa's Sahara desert. Stroll upon the white sands of the many beaches of Fuerteventura, there are over 150 to choose from.
Also well known for its vast array of water sports, Fuerteventura is perfect for windsurfing, this island captures the cooling breezes of the Atlantic ocean or for something less energetic take a trip to Los Lobos off the coast of Fuerteventura to sail the ocean and catch a fish or two.
